Beauty has always been a heavily debated topic for feminists. Some critique it as an extension of patriarchal systems, and others have engaged with it as a playful expression of identity. This issue takes a critical approach to new theories of beauty, asking whether the pursuit of beauty is a fruitful endeavor for those engaged in questions of social justice.
