CLAGS Anthologies Bundle
$30.00

Celebrate Pride Month with Feminist Press with one of our speciality bundles!

The David R. Kessler Lectures, established in 1992 by CLAGS: Center for LGBTQ Studies at the City University of New York, represent the cutting edge of queer studies in the United States. Years before LGBTQ studies had found a foothold in American academia, the Kessler Lectures celebrated dynamic and diverse inquiries into queer thought, community, and politics. Queer Ideas and Queer Then and Now collect nearly forty years of queer and trans study from the field’s leading writers and academics. Your bundle will include both books at a reduced rate.

A note on design from Sarah Auches This year’s Pride Sale artwork references the vibrant layouts and typography of Come Out!—a newspaper published by the Gay Liberation Front (GLF) beginning in 1969. Established in New York in the immediate aftermath of the Stonewall Riots, the GLF united a coalition of revolutionary gay and lesbian activists, with Come Out! serving as an expression of the heightened militancy of the queer community. To learn more about the history of the GLF and its publishing initiative, listen to Library Talks’ episode “A History of the Queer Press.”
