Are you passionate about cutting-edge books and eager to share your unique skills? Feminist Press is looking for mission-driven individuals to join our Board of Directors!

About us:

First and foremost, Feminist Press is a book publisher. We believe books ignite movements and social transformation. It’s our mission to provide titles for feminist readers across genres, from translated literary fiction to experimental story collections, activist guidebooks to gender studies staples. Founded in 1970, we began as a crucial publishing component of second wave feminism, reprinting feminist classics and providing much-needed texts for the developing field of women’s studies. We are at the vanguard of books on contemporary feminist issues, publishing works by a variety of authors and translators including Michelle Tea, Grace M. Cho, Jamika Ajalon, Kyung-Sook Shin, Bridgett M. Davis, Bishakh Som, Megan Milks, Erica N. Cardwell, Anton Hur, Cristina Rivera Garza, Norman Erikson Pasaribu, Travis Alabanza, Jennifer Croft, Julián Delgado Lopera, and more. We provide free book events, participate in conversations about the future of the industry, and train the next generation of publishing professionals.

About the position:

We’re currently looking for volunteer board members who share our passion for the book industry, feminist activism, and fundraising.
