Jessica Nydia Pabón-Colón

Jessica Nydia Pabón-Colón is a diasporic Puerto Rican feminist activist scholar living in the Hudson Valley on the unceded lands of the Munsee Lenape people. She received her PhD in performance studies from New York University, her MA in women’s studies from the University of Arizona, and her BFA in sculpture from UMass Dartmouth. An associate professor of women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at SUNY New Paltz, Dr. Pabón-Colón is the first Puerto Rican woman to be hired and tenured in the department since its founding in 1974.
