STEAMinism—the name is a play on STEAM (science, tech, engineering, arts, and math) plus feminism—is a conference for NYC-area high school and young college students. The goal of the conference is to promote engagement in STEAM fields among communities that are typically underserved by and underrepresented in those fields, and to encourage participants to think about how they might integrate feminism and social justice activism into STEAM careers.
The conference will include:
Lunch with Weill Cornell Medicine faculty and students
Two hands-on workshops (click here for workshop descriptions)
