As everyone is well aware, our neighbor, Haiti, has been hit with
a massively lethal and destructive earthquake. Its people are in need of
humanitarian aid of unimaginable proportions. We must respond to this disaster as a community. No contribution is too small. We urge each of you to make a contribution to a dedicated fund of your choice. Here are a few:
The New Yorker nods to Baghdad Burning
The January 18th edition of The New Yorker features an article about Arabic novels in translation which interestingly mentions our very own Baghdad Burning , a book that was written originally in English.
